On WWE SmackDown, Edge wrestled his first match on the blue brand in ten years. He faced Jey Uso in the main event to decide who will be the enforcer for Roman Reigns vs Daniel Bryan at Fastlane. The winner of that match faces Edge at WrestleMania with the title on the line, but before that, the Rated-R Superstar reacted to his match on SmackDown.

Jey Uso vs Edge featured some very eye-catching moments. This was also Jey’s second SmackDown main event in three weeks, making it a wonderful month for Reigns‘ right hand. Throughout the match, Edge tried to use Daniel Bryan’s offence, from the crossface in the beginning to the super rana from the top rope.
Jey tried his best to put away Edge, hitting him with a suicide dive, a super-kick and even the top rope splash, but none were effective. However, it only took a Spear from Edge to put away Uso after a terrific main event.
“I mean it felt good, until I got rammed into the stairs, the table and every breath now hurts. But it felt like it was back home, where I needed to be and what I do best. And now, I get to be the special enforcer at Fastlane, and make sure that everything goes right. And if it doesn’t, if it starts to go sideways, it’s up to me to pull it back straight.”
He shows Daniel Bryan respect
Although it may seem contrary, the Rated-R Superstar respects Daniel Bryan. He took a running knee to the face last week but claimed he looked forward to the possibility of facing Bryan at WrestleMania.
“As much as I don’t agree with the fact that somehow I could be facing someone else, or you know, all of these different things have been happening, at the same time I respect Daniel Bryan. I respect his abilities; I respect him as a man. He deserves a fair shake, and if I were to face him at WrestleMania, we would tear the house down.”

He continued, “I can’t go back; I can’t try to change it. We are where we are now. So all I can do as a man, is make sure that this goes down the middle.”
Edge even believes that if Daniel Bryan was in his place, he would do the same for him. “I think he would do that for me.”
