Ali’s last appearance at WWE was on September 21 when he was expected to fight Dominik Mysterio for the NXT North American Championship at NXT No Mercy. In a unique manner of announcement, he not only established his free-agent status but also took a dig at WWE. He says, “Esteemed citizens of the world. Today, I stand before you as a free man. A man no longer affiliated with his former party,” in what seemed to be a presidential campaign-style promo.

He declared himself as a savior for the indie circuit. Who knows, it might be an indicator of his new gimmick. The video also features other wrestlers from the indie circuit including former WWE Superstar Matt Cardona aka Zack Ryder. Will it be the beginning of a new rivalry in the indie circuit?
