The season premiere of Raw proved to be an exciting episode. On the October 16th episode, Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest went off against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. This was a rematch from Fastlane as they wanted to get their titles back from them. The duo was eventually able to get a hold of the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship titles from Rhodes and Jey Uso with a little help from Jimmy Uso. But it looks like WWE is not in favor of the winners. This new move by WWE suggests that the promotion has big plans for Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso

WWE favors the losers

Wrestling fans were left in shock as Rhodes and Uso’s Undisputed Tag Team Championship reign lasted hardly for 10 days. But WWE might still consider them as winners. The official X (former Twitter) handle changed their header photo to Rhodes and Uso holding the belts after they had won at the Fastlane. Even though they both don’t have the title anymore, WWE still hasn’t changed their header photo.

Jey Uso was introduced into Raw by none other than The American Nightmare. After that, as the star was getting accustomed to the new setting, he formed a tag team with Rhodes ahead of the Fastlane. The team was able to secure the win against Priest and Balor after JD McDonagh committed a grave mistake. Since then, the faction has been trying to get the titles back. And at the season premiere, they did so when Jimmy Uso superkicked Jey Uso leading Judgment Day to clinch the win.

Fans were thinking the promotion would be supporting the heel faction after the win. But that does not seem to be the case. This could hint at the fact that WWE might have bigger plans for Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes.

What is WWE planning for Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso?

The possible explanation could be that they are the new faces of the red brand. They could be the answer to Judgment Day. The duo could be the ones who will end their rule. Apart from that, the stars do have an individual fan following. Since his return to WWE, fans have loved the new Cody Rhodes. In the absence of The Rock and John Cena, fans agreed that Rhodes is the perfect contender for Roman Reigns. They two even fought at WrestleMania 39, but The Tribal Chief defeated the 38-year-old star. And for their next bout, Jey Uso could be of use to Cody Rhodes.

It has been revealed that the reason why Bloodline was formed was not to reinvent Roman Reigns. The WWE did it to groom Jey Uso. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, the heel stable was made to ‘elevate Jey Uso to the main event level’. With Jey Uso now not being a part of The Bloodline, he will likely be going against his former Tribal Chief. But with a new potential prospect for Bloodline in line, a lot could happen leading to exciting matches for the fans. Would you like to see Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso take on Roman Reigns? What do you make of WWE’s decision to not change their header photo? Let us know in the comments below.
