Eva Marie has made quite the comeback on WWE Raw. She has been undefeated since her return, be it controversial. Along with her own return, she debuted another wrestler alongside, her protege. But did you know that Marie was supposed to make her comeback sooner?

In an interview with Bleacher Report, Eva Marie revealed that she was supposed to return way earlier than she did. She said,

“There’s always so many things where creatively, story-wise, there were so many things where I was going to come back before ‘Mania, and then I wasn’t,” she said.

“Timing is everything, and just making sure it made sense. That’s kind of where it was at where I thought I was returning a lot sooner, and then it didn’t make sense.

“WrestleMania wasn’t the right moment, and right after wasn’t, either. It was just looking for that right little slot to insert the storyline and create it and start it.” 

Speaking about her online presence, she thinks it’s one of those things where the negativity is more so. Because she is portraying a heel persona, she feels like she is adding fuel to the fire because that’s what it’s about.

Will Eva Marie and Doudrop work out?

We are not sure where to begin with this bizarre duo if we can call it a duo. We say this because most of the in-ring work is done by Piper Niven, a.k.a. Doudrop. Every week they seem like they are on the verge of breaking up, but somehow they survive.

This week they team up with Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax to face the team of Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Naomi, and Nikki Cross on Monday Night Raw. The former team defeated the latter’s, with Eva Marie making cameo-like appearances inside the ring.

Marie took all the credit for the win, without even acknowledging her teammates. Sadly, Doudrop is used to such treatment. It seems like WWE is in a rush to break up the partnership and create a new angle.
