The Undertaker is one WWE superstar who is loved by fans all over the world. But it has been a long time since the fans got to see their favorite superstar in action. Recently, the fans got to see The Undertaker in a different light.

A WWE-themed horror movie named ‘Escape The Undertaker’ was released last month on Netflix. Apart from the Undertaker, the movie also involved the New Day members, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, along with the WWE Champion Big E.

Following the release of the movie, one person who was absolutely in full praise for The Phenom is the director of the movie himself. The iconic character of The Undertaker massively impressed the director.

Recently, ComingSoon spoke to the director of the Netflix movie, Ben Simms. During the interview, Ben Simms praised the Undertaker’s legacy. Further, he talked about how more films can be made on the WWE legend.

Ben Simms believes the iconic character of The Undertaker can add a lot of depth to a story

During the interview, Ben Simms revealed what are the things that he learned from the movie and will wish to apply them in his future movies. In addition to this, Ben Simms quickly appreciated The Undertaker’s character and legacy.

He believes the character of The Undertaker is so iconic that he can add excitement and depth to any story easily. Ben said, “You can always add to the back story. The Undertaker has a lengthy history of over 30 years and we were still able to fill in and add to some of the lore surrounding such an iconic character.”

“If you stay true to the character and build upon that, it can be very exciting and can add a lot of depth to the character and the story,” he added.

The WWE legend bid a last farewell to the WWE universe on his 30th anniversary in WWE at the 2020 Survivor Series PPV. Though the Undertaker has retired from professional wrestling, yet his legacy will be evergreen. For three decades, The Undertaker has successfully ruled the hearts of the fans. There is absolutely no one as great as ‘The Phenom’.
