A few days back, pro wrestling fans witnessed wrestlers switching brands as the 17th WWE Draft took place. The two-night event included multiple rounds of picks. And on the second night, Eric Bischoff and Rob Van Dam appeared to announce the 4th round of picks.
Despite this information sounding like the tidbit that emerges in the wrestling industry, it is not. Bischoff recalled the story behind his appearance on the WWE Draft which made the turn of events much more interesting.

Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Bischoff shed light on his almost-final decision of not appearing for the event. However, the legend finally appeared on Monday Night Raw, but what we don’t know is the backstory behind it.
Bischoff said, “I got a call about a month ago asking me if I was available.” In response to it, the WWE legend mentioned his other commitment because of which he couldn’t make it to SmackDown on the first night of Draft. After that, Bischoff wasn’t sure if he was ever going to get a call back from the promotion.
He said, “I kind of wasn’t sure if they were going to call me back and I never heard from them again.” But things soon turned in his favor as he got a call from them to be on Monday Night Raw for the second night of Draft.
“Oh my gosh and there’s a lot of rearranging and traveling and I almost said no but I thought well it’s such a great opportunity and I do want to see some people and whatever so I ended up doing that but it came about relatively quickly,” Bischoff added.
This makes it clear how it was difficult for Eric Bischoff to come for WWE Draft, but he managed his schedule. That being said, we cannot miss how the legend got massively trolled on the internet for his botched segment while announcing the draft picks.

Eric Bischoff managed his timetable to be a part of the WWE Draft but it didn’t go as he planned. During his announcement, Bischoff made a huge botch while announcing the name of four-time champion Shayna Baszler.
Some might call it a hilarious moment as Bischoff botched the superstar’s name and seemingly called her “Shayna Blazer” instead.
Despite the approval of the segments involving the drafts, fans couldn’t help but troll Bischoff for his botched segment.
