Randy Orton has been in multiple teams in his illustrious career. And unsurprisingly, he has excelled in each and every one of them. Eric Bischoff, on his “83 weeks” podcast, paid tribute to his good friend “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff. WWE Hall of Famer Orndorff passed away at the age of 71 on July 12th, 2021.
Bischoff dedicated an entire episode to his late friend. In the podcast, Bischoff described how “Mr. Wonderful’s” time was in WCW.
Late Paul Orndorff was in a tag team known as “Pretty Wonderful,” with Paul Roma. The legendary duo even held the WCW Tag Team Championships at one point. Eric Bischoff declared who he thinks comes close to Pretty Wonderful in today’s pro-wrestling world. He said,
“Roma was a little more flamboyant and Orndorff was a little more dangerous,” said Bischoff.
“I like that, I like how contrasts work. Randy Orton and the skateboard burn out guy, Matt Riddle. I love that team because that’s just an interesting contrast of characters. It’s like a good buddy cop movie, you generally have contrasting characters that compliment each other and I think that’s the way Paul Roma and Paul Orndorff were.” (H/t Wrestling Inc. for transcription)
