Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson opened tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown without The Bloodline. While this could be concerning news, seeing as the group has a tag team match on Night #1 of WrestleMania XL, Johnson ensured it wasn’t boring. Giving the audience in Memphis a rendition of The Rock’s concert, something fans haven’t seen since 2003, Johnson was on a roll. Charismatic, charming, and completely entertaining, he had the audience in the palm of his hand. He did so well that one may forget that he’s supposed to be a heel. Even Hall of Famer Ric Flair took to social media to praise Johnson.

Taking the stage during the opening segment of WWE SmackDown, Johnson showed the power of his singing voice. The song Johnson performed touched upon everything regarding his current feud. From Cody Rhodes’ parents to Seth Rollins’ wife. He even dropped a dig at the Cody Crybabies. All in all, it was a trip down memory lane when wrestlers found creative ways to diss their opponents. When Flair was on The Breakfast Club Power podcast, he was asked a common question. This was about which wrestlers were on his Mount Rushmore of wrestling. Flair answered Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Hulk Hogan. When asked why Johnson didn’t make the cut, Flair said, “He would be, except he didn’t stay long enough. I think part of the Mount Rushmore is longevity.” The wrestling legendwas hinting at Johnson leaving the WWE to make a career in Hollywood. While one could argue Hogan did the same, but Hogan returned and stayed in the wrestling business. While Johnson is back, he will be leaving after Mania again. What did you think about Flair’s words?
