Engaged to Ricochet, WWE Announcer Samantha Irvin Blasts Media Outlet for False Narrative on Her Fiancé: “This Ain’t News”

It is not uncommon for WWE stars to lose their cool at reports featuring them. However, it isn’t very common for their partners to shoot back for the same. But WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin took the effort to call out a media outlet for deeming a report on her fiancé, Ricochet, to be detrimental to the superstar.

A recent report from one of the outlets covering pro wrestling news stated that the WWE was underutilizing the RAW star. Irvin took offense at the nature of the report and fired back.

Who did Samantha Irvin correct?

The outlet in question in Ringside News. They shared a report on Twitter titled: WWE CRITICIZED FOR UNDERUTILIZING RICOCHET. It didn’t evade Irvin’s notice, who came down hard on the outlet.

She said that her partner is currently going through a good patch with improved TV time, but ignoring that, the said outlet chose to highlight an old issue. Irvin also flaunted her wordplay skills as she took apart Ringside News.

“I’m as ringside as it gets… and this ain’t news rn,” she tweeted. The said report, however, wasn’t the outlet’s own take on the issue. The news outlet was quoting pro wrestling legend, Konnan, on the matter. The WCW legend had worked with Ricochet in the past and feels the Stamford-based promotion hasn’t allowed the high-flying wrestler to use his potential to the fullest.

But Irvin was firm in the belief that the headline reeked of “one track minded view”. She, however, agreed with a comment from a user saying that her partner was on fire at the moment. The ring announcer added, “I see amazing things for him 🙏🏽”.

Meanwhile, Irvin had her own headline moment, but for all the wrong reasons a few weeks ago.

Samantha Irvin adds to the fans’ experience with her big voice during the announcements. She has become synonymous with the WWE program over the years. However, Irvin’s performance was a little underwhelming at the Money In The Bank event.

At the PLE, which emanated from The O2 Arena In London, the UK, Irvin made the wrong announcement while introducing Bayley. The Grand Slam champion was one of the contestants in the Women’s Ladder Match at the event. Bayley is also part of the Damage CTRL stable. But while announcing her, Irvin called her a member of The Judgement Day.

Fans didn’t overlook the mistake. Many also asked if The Judgement Day member Rhea Ripley’s behavior towards Irvin just a few days ago might have played a part in the botch.

The Australian pro wrestler’s said behavior also dragged Ricochet into the debate, as he managed to shut down the Women’s World Champion on Twitter. Fans would also be hoping for the couple to stay together and support one another in need.
