Roman Reigns‘ absence has changed a lot in The Bloodline. On SmackDown 06/21, his cousin revealed in a backstage short promo that The Tribal Chief is not coming back to WWE. This seems like an absurd way of retiring a superstar. So, it was probably a fake statement that will be debunked by Roman Reigns himself.

For now, fans believe that he will come back to dethrone Solo Sikoa, as the latter has been making radical changes to the family stable, probably without Reigns’ permission. But when can we expect Reigns to finally come back?

The Tribal Chief’s kayfabe hiatus is probably given to him so that he can focus on his Hollywood projects that are due. Fans wished to see him return to the promotion at Money in the Bank, but considering the fact that Jacob Fatu has just debuted, it may be unlikely that the promotion would outshine his big moment like that.

Talking on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said, “I wonder how soon before he comes back.” After a short while, he answered his own doubt by adding, “I could see him doing a return at the end of the SummerSlam match. Yeah, I could see that.

SummerSlam this year will take place on the 3rd of August. Although he would have to return before the event if he wishes to secure a match, Meltzer believes that Roman Reigns will return at the end of the PLE, just to cut a promo or to tease the storyline that may take place ahead.

This is when fans will get to know whether WWE will take up a brand new path for the creatives or go ahead with the Bloodline feud that the viewers have been speculating about.

Will Roman Reigns be able to take back control immediately?

Although the Head of the Table has a powerful influence over the family since he is the ‘chief’ of the Anoa’i tribe, Solo Sikoa’s position in the stable puts his stature on a much smaller pedestal. So, the initial path may include Roman Reigns getting kicked out of the heel faction before working toward getting it back. He may also be able to take the help of The Usos since they are both already expelled members of the group.

There is also a possibility that Solo Sikoa is backed up by a WWE legend who is said to eventually return to the promotion. This could result in an even bigger feud between Roman Reigns and his family members. Even if we don’t see the former Universal Champion taking back The Bloodline immediately, fans would probably like it more if they see him working toward it.

Do you think Roman Reigns’ new story arc will begin after his SummerSlam return?
