Some WWE feuds might be new, but the Superstars booked in those have faced each other several times before. A good example of this are Asuka and Charlotte Flair.

The Superstars are currently in a storyline involving WWE Raw Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley. They last faced off at WrestleMania Backlash 2021 in a triple threat match for the WWE Raw Women’s title, with Ripley emerging as the victor.

Prior to this, Asuka and Charlotte Flair have battled multiple times.

The first time WWE booked them against each other was in the WWE Mixed Match Challenge Final where Asuka and The Miz defeated Bobby Roode and Flair on April 3rd, 2018. They had a singles match on April 8th, 2018, where Flair defeated Asuka.

Next, it was again a WWE Mixed Match Challenge on November 13th, 2018 where Flair and Jeff Hardy defeated Asuka and The Miz.

Following this, ‘The Queen’ defeated ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ six times between November 24th, 2018 to December 10th, 2018. The next day, on December 11th, 2018, Asuka defeated Flair on WWE SmackDown.

On December 16th, 2018, Becky Lynch, Asuka, and Charlotte Flair were in a WWE TLC triple threat match. Asuka defeated ‘The Man’ and ‘The Queen’ to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion.

The Empress of Tomorrow’s run as champion

After this, WWE booked Asuka against Becky Lynch and Flair fourteen times between December 17, 2018 and January 22nd, 2019 at various WWE House Shows. Asuka won every single time and kept the title.

From January 29th, 2019 to March 3rd, 2019, WWE booked ‘The Empress’ against ‘The Queen’ fifteen times. The former defeated the latter every time, until March 26th, 2019 when Flair defeated the then-champion and became the new SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Between October 7th, 2019 and November 11th, 2019, Asuka and Kairi Sane (The Kabuki Warriors) defeated Flair & Lynch twice and Flair & Natalya once.

 

On November 25th, 2019, Asuka defeated Flair in a singles match. Next, on November 29th, 2019, Lynch and Flair defeated The Kabuki Warriors.

Next, on November 30th, 2019 and December 1st, 2019, The Kabuki Warriors defeated Lynch & Flair, Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross, and Bayley & Sasha Banks in Fatal Four Way matches.

On December 2nd, 2019, The Kabuki Warriors defeated ‘The Queen’ in a Two-on-One Handicap match. Following that, on December 7th and 8th, 2019, Lynch and Flair defeated The Kabuki Warriors. Finally, The Kabuki Warriors defeated them on December 15th, 2019.

Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Asuka were in four triple threat matches between December 26th, 2019 to December 29th, 2019 in House Shows where Lynch won all four times.

2020 involved several tag team matches for Asuka and Charlotte Flair

The next two triple threat matches involving Flair and Asuka were on January 11th and 12th, 2020 where Asuka defeated Flair and Natalya both times. On January 17th, 18th, and 19th, 2020, Lynch, Flair, and Natalya defeated Sarah Logan and The Kabuki Warriors in House Shows.

The next singles match between Flair and Asuka was on January 27th, 2020 where Flair won.

Following that, there were quite a few matches involving others.

Between February 8th, 2020 and March 7th, 2020, Becky Lynch defeated Asuka and Flair four times in triple threat matches and on February 29th, 2020 and March 1st 2020, Flair and Lynch defeated The Kabuki Warriors twice. Their last two singles matches for 2020 were on June 8th, 2020 (Charlotte won) and June 16th, 2020 (Asuka won).

Finally, till WrestleMania Backlash 2021, they faced each other three times and once on the following Monday Night Raw.

April 19th, 2021 – Asuka defeated Charlotte Flair.
May 10th 2021 – Asuka, Dana Brooke, and Mandy Rose defeated Flair, Nia Jax, and Shayna Baszler.
WrestleMania Backlash, May 16th, 2021 – Rhea Ripley defeated Flair and Asuka in a triple threat match.
May 17th, 2021 – Asuka defeated Charlotte Flair.

Undoubtedly, Asuka and Flair will face each other multiple times in the future. Currently, both of them are pursuing the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.
