Elon Musk and Donald Trump on WWE Raw—Genius move or desperate attention grab?

Donald Trump participated this Monday in a live interview on the social network X, the platform from which he was banned for almost two years after the assault on the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021. During his live broadcast, the former US president defended his relationship with foreign leaders such as Russia’s Vladimir Putin, North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, and China’s Xi Jinping, saying that getting along with them “is good.”.

In the virtual meeting, Trump also said some words regarding the situation of illegal migrants in the United States. The electoral campaign naturally emerged as the central theme of the broadcast. The Republican took advantage of the space to criticize his opponent in the Democratic Party, Kamala Harris, and the current president, Joe Biden.

The controversial interview started on a grim note with a 45-minute delay because of an alleged DDOS, or denial-of-service attack, targeting the platform. Now Musk and Trump have also been accused of stealing the number one spot on the trending page. Something that can be attributed to the former US President wanting to show himself as a crowd favorite.

The interview with Musk began with the attack on the Republican candidate last July. In this regard, Trump has assured that illegal migration “saved” his life. The attack, in which he was wounded in the ear, took place on July 13 during a rally in Butler (Pennsylvania). A 20-year-old man, later killed by the officers, shot Trump from a rooftop outside the enclosure and managed to kill one person in the audience and wound two others.

Just before being hit in the ear, the former president turned his head to show people a graph that pointed to a significant decline in the drop in illegal immigration arrivals during his term, according to his figures. Trump said, “The incredible thing, though, when you talk about the odds, you had to be exactly at that angle. But the incredible thing is that the chart, I used it less than 20 per cent of the time. It was just a moment. Yeah. It’s always on my left, never my right. And it is always at the end of the speech.”

He continued, “But I looked to the right, and the bullet came whizzing by, hitting my ear, so it was too busy. But when you think of the odds of that, and you know that normally, you wouldn’t use it, normally, I wouldn’t have the thing, and then, you know, would have been a very different story. It’s, it’s very much, I say, an act of God. It’s a miracle that it happened, and I’m honored by it. I’m honored by it.” he told Musk. So, what do you think? Do you believe the statements made by the former president? What do you make of Trump stealing WWE Raw’s trend space? Let us know in the comments.
