Speaking on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Edge opened up on his retirement plans as he thinks, fans will soon get tired of him. And he doesn’t want to stick around to that point.

Edge said, “I don’t want to stick around to the point where it’s like ‘Oh, there he is…’ I don’t want to get there, right? When I come out now, I feel the explosion.”

From his statements, it was evident that The Ultimate Opportunist desires to feel that ‘explosion’ and thrill every time he enters the ring. However, with time, this might fade as fans get tired of him. And being the passionate wrestler that he is, he wants to hang his boots with pride, with fans cheering for him as loud as they did always.

At most, I might have another year in me, to be able to do it at this level and still be able to do it at an elite level where I can still hang,” the 49-year-old added.

This means that fans might see their beloved wrestler for a short time now until he decides to retire from the business. The thought is already there in Edge’s mind. He is just looking to end it on his own terms.

The Hall of Fame legend plans to end his career in his own way

Along with opening up about his limited time in the pro wrestling business, he also highlighted the opportunity he has now compared to his retirement in 2011. During that time, the superstar didn’t have any other option but to retire due to his severe neck injuries.
