Edge on the iconic ladder match against The Hardy Boyz at WWE No Mercy 1999
WWE presented this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown from the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio. It is the same arena, the company held their No Mercy PPV in 1999.
Following SmackDown, Edge uploaded an image of a hallway inside the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. However, he didn’t post the picture just for the sake of it. He shared a never heard before inside story related to it.

The WWE Hall of Famer revealed the hallway has been instrumental in propelling his, Christian, and The Hardy Boyz’ career. Edge reveals he was living in the Bahamas at the time and got stuck in Miami the night before the PPV due to a hurricane.
He eventually realized he had no other option, but to drive through the hurricane. The ‘Master Manipulator’ somehow drove three hours from Miami to Tampa and then took a flight to reach Cleveland.
The 11-time World Champion further details he somehow reached the arena in time, but in a mess. He didn’t waste time as he reached and quickly started looking for Christian and the Hardy’s, whom he found standing in the very hallway.
The four then stood there, talked about how they were going to work their match and executed it to perfection, leaving fans with a lifelong memory.
