Cody Rhodes became the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion at WrestleMania XL and has since continued his babyface character. However, there is a speculation that The American Nightmare may not stick to this character forever. The Undertaker believes this to be true. In his latest podcast, he talked about how the new champion may eventually turn heel.

Although Cody Rhodes is loved by the audience in his face persona, Taker claims that he can see the change coming. The main reason is the plot that WWE might be forced to follow with his personal storyline eventually.

The majority of the gimmicks that Cody Rhodes has played during his pro wrestling run have been evil. Given his experience as a heel, The Undertaker thinks that he has a talent for the same. Moreover, he can sense an imminent turn while he is still in WWE. “I don’t know if he will switch as a champion. I don’t know what the approach would be there but I think he would be a good heel. I think he’s got heel qualities. He gives me a heel vibe. I could see him very easily being smug,” said the WWE legend while talking on the Six Feet Under podcast, episode 11.

One possible reason behind a future heel turn could be that Cody Rhodes’ story would have nowhere else to go. The American Nightmare was triumphant in finishing his story and bringing the gold home. Now, it appears that he will eventually face the “Final Boss” sometime down the line. But if all is wrapped up, then WWE may be forced to give him a heel turn to keep things interesting. For now, however, his archenemy is the one who is being speculated to have a character turn following his major WrestleMania loss.

It is highly likely that before we can witness a potential heel turn for Rhodes, Roman Reigns could turn baby-face, shocking the viewers. There are a few reasons behind why this is being speculated. One reason is that The Bloodline may reject his leadership because of what went down at Mania this year, forcing him to form another stable to take down the new one.

Another reason could be that The Rock may come to take Reigns’ spot as The Tribal Chief, forcing him to vacate the position and redeem himself by turning baby-face. Do you think a heel Cody Rhodes would face a baby-face Roman Reigns in the far future?
