Dwayne Johnson has not returned to WWE for the past 4 years. Since 2019, fans have been waiting to catch a glimpse of The Great One inside the squared ring again, to face his cousin, The Head Of The Table, Roman Reigns. While his in-ring return still looks dicey, that hasn’t stopped him from having a beef with a fellow star on social media.

Now in another taunt, Grayson Waller has once again targeted The Rock by calling him out on a podcast.

Waller has become one of the most controversial stars on the roster for his brash, loud-mouth tone of taunting and dissing other wrestlers. While it’s not an ideal way of staying at the top, the superstar continues to stay in the limelight.

The 33-year-old young WWE star and Johnson have been feuding for the past few weeks over Twitter. Though the fans love The Brahma Bull’s wit and reply to Waller with every exchange, the latter doesn’t seem to agree though.

Now, in The Babyfaces Podcast, Waller has gone in on Johnson, dissing his “mediocre response” and saying he tried to make The Rock “relevant again”, and “prepare him for a match against Reigns.”

While he did praise Johnson by calling him “probably the most well-known professional wrestler of all time”, Waller eventually claimed he hasn’t done anything for WWE lately. He further added, “He hasn’t done nothing for anyone lately, so I was trying to give him a path to come back in, maybe ease him in before Roman and The Bloodline.”

However, the highlight came when he claimed to be giving Johnson a path to come back to WWE, maybe in preparation for his showdown with Reigns and The Bloodline. But will that ever happen?

Will Johnson ever show up to confront Roman Reigns?

Waller’s ability to get under the skin of others is what makes him a controversial commodity. From calling Johnson’s debut outfit at Madison Square Garden cringe to claiming Johnson is afraid to face him, Waller has tried his best to ruffle some feathers.

However, each time, the 51-year-old negates the call out. Unfortunately, despite the jabs, it seems unlikely that we would see Johnson in WWE anytime soon. The Rock’s friend corroborated this when he gave reasons for the continuation of the online feud and not returning to face Reigns.

Over the years, both Johnson and Reigns have spelled out their interest to face each other at WrestleMania. However, due to Johnson’s Hollywood commitments, things never work out.

While one can’t predict if he would ever return for a wrestling match, fans would love to see Johnson in a one-off appearance, putting Waller in his place. What do you think about Waller’s new jibe? Do you think he needs a beatdown at the hands of The Great One?
