The Rock and WrestleMania are nearly synonymous. Being a prolific figure of the company since the classic Attitude era, he usually landed in the big spots in the Mania and delivered a lot of classics and a few duds. The Great One has put his magic into action in 11 matches in WrestleMania so far, with a stupendous record of six wins and five defeats. Here is a quick recap of the preeminence for you.

Johnson’s first year at WrestleMania 13 wasn’t a bed of roses, for obvious reasons. Rocky Maivia made his WrestleMania debut against The Sultan and could merely score a forgettable Intercontinental Championship defense against The Sultan, Rikishi, only to give it up to Owen Hart weeks later. WrestleMania 14 was comparatively better. The Rock was amidst an engaging feud with Ken Shamrock and ended up retaining his Intercontinental Championship against him at Mania, marking two consecutive Mania wins in a row. The crowd’s reaction was quite lit throughout the bout.

At WrestleMania 15, The Rock took his first blow on the biggest stage of wrestling from Stone Cold Steve Austin. The iconic rivalry between the two rising stars gradually culminated in a high-stake one-on-one clash featured as the main event of the night. This loss marked The Rock’s face transition onward.

At WrestleMania 16, The Rock main-evented the show for the second time by challenging Triple H for the WWF Championship in a Fatal 4-way match involving Mick Foley & Big Show. He fought for twenty long minutes with Hunter until McMahon interfered and took the match in Triple H’s favor. Despite losing. The Rock stood tall attacking the rivals post the match.

At WrestleMania 17, again The Rock faced The Ringmaster to defend his WWF Championship against Stone Cold Steve Austin in a No Disqualification match in the main event of the night. After a few minutes of struggle, The Rock surrendered to Austin’s supremacy marking his third consecutive WrestleMania loss.

Now it’s time to relive arguably the biggest wins of The Rock’s career, scored against none other than ‘The Immortal’ Hulk Hogan in the “Icon vs. Icon” bout at WrestleMania 18.  There are very few matches in history that ever saw the same number of pops from the crowd.

At WrestleMania 19, The Rock and Stone-Cold Steve Austin again reignited their boiling rivalry through a massive singles match. After getting beat down two times by the same devil, The Rock finally got the upper hand with a stunning performance. It was a genuinely quality addition to his career card.

At WrestleMania 20, Rock joined forces with Mick Foley as Rock & Sock connection & butted heads with the unified power of Ric Flair, Randy Orton & Batista of Evolution in a 2-on-3 Handicap match. The Rock faced a tag team defeat alongside Foley marking the end of his WrestleMania career as a company full-timer.
