Johnson has entered the Royal Rumble match multiple times in the past. He, however, has been a Rumble victor only once in his career. The remarkable moment took place more than two decades ago in 2000. After all the contenders were out of the match, he found himself in the final two against Big Show.

His opponent delivered a Showstopper on him and tried to throw him off the top rope. He mustered all his strength and held tightly. Then, with whatever energy was left inside him, he used it to toss Big Show out of the ring, grabbing his first and only Royal Rumble victory.

2) Helping Roman in the 2015 Royal Rumble

In 2015, Johnson made an appearance at the Royal Rumble event to aid Reigns. Despite being eliminated, Kane and Big Show continued to punish Reigns inside the ring until the Rock showed up. Both the Samaon brothers then took out ‘The Authority’ puppets, helping Reigns to beeline his way to victory after eliminating Rusev.

3) Face to face with Stone Cold in 1998 Royal Rumble

In 1998, Johnson was very close to winning the Royal Rumble match. But Stone Cold Steve Austin outdid him. He entered the match at #4 and lasted over 50 minutes in the ring. After the ring was cleared, the two contenders left inside the ropes were Johnson and Stone Cold.

5) Ending CM Punk’s record reign as champion in Royal Rumble 2013

In 2013, Johnson went up against WWE Champion CM Punk. During the match, someone attacked him in the dark, leading Punk to pick up a victory and retain his title. However, since Punk didn’t have a fair victory, McMahon restarted that match. This time Johnson won the match and the title ending Punk’s historic reign at 434 days.
