He recently gave his fans a glimpse into his struggling days where he didn’t even have a place to live. This was back in ‘95, when The Rock was cut from The Calgary Stampeders of the CFL.
He used a pay phone to call his parents, asking them for a place to live. His father, Rocky Johnson, immediately drove almost 300 miles to pick up his son. He only had $7 bucks.

In fact, he has often spoken proudly about his struggle and fight to reach the top to encourage everyone to never back down and always be the hardest worker in the room.
