‘The People’s Champ’ Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson recently announced the launch of his new sitcom ‘Young Rock’ on NBC that showcases his journey from an aspirational young child to a professional wrestler.

With production underway in Australia, The Rock is sharing pictures from the show’s sets over the past few days. The pictures would make any genuine professional wrestling fan feel nostalgic.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson shares childhood memories with André the Giant
Dwayne Johnson took to Instagram to continue posting pictures from the set. This time, he introduced Adrian Groulx; the boy playing 10-year-old Rock.
In the caption, the ‘Great One’ reminisces how he listened to André the Giant when he taught him lessons about respect. He also shares that every time ‘Uncle Andre’ had a lesson to share with him, he ensured to pick him up, so they could be eye to eye.

The picture shared on Instagram is also from the show’s set. Former NFL Offensive Tackle Matthew Willig plays the role of Andre the Giant. We previously detailed the cast of ‘Young Rock’ just in case you want to know who is playing who!
The show features the likes of The Wild Samoans – Afa and Sika, The Junkyard Dog, The Rock’s father ‘Soulman’ Rocky Johnson, his mother Ata Johnson and a lot more. The Rock comes from a professional wrestling family.

Even before the premiere, the show has generated quite a buzz. First with The Rock sharing pictures from the sets and then with his infamous fanny pack photo turning into a float for the world-famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!
‘Young Rock’ will premiere in February 2021. Just like The Rock’s many successful endeavors, this one too will be an enormous success. It will be a great watch for both non-wrestling and wrestling fans.
