With the conclusion of Royal Rumble 2021, the road to WrestleMania 37 has officially begun. WrestleMania is one event that reunites fans, legends, and Superstars alike, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is already on board!
Ahead of this week’s Raw (02/01/21), the official Twitter account of WrestleMania asked fans about their favorite WrestleMania moment. The most electrifying wrestler in history replied to this post.
The Rock believes that nothing can beat the atmosphere of the first-ever WrestleMania in Madison Square Garden. The future Superstar was 13 at that time and was among the one million viewers (a record back then) who watched history getting made.

Johnson, now a Hollywood megastar, headlined multiple WrestleManias during his prime in the Attitude Era. Although he still makes sporadic appearances in WWE, there were rumors about his return at this year’s WrestleMania.
Roman Reigns revealed the status of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s return
As we all know, The Rock and Universal Champion Roman Reigns are cousins. Belonging to the reputed Anoa’i family, fans consider both Superstars as wrestling royalties.
Recently, in an interview with Bleacher Report, Reigns spoke about the possibility of The Rock appearing at WrestleMania. The Rock wrestled in his last WWE match eight years ago.
“It’s totally different because he’s out of the ring and that does take an effect when you’re not in that ring often,” Roman said. “It’s not quite like riding a bike. You don’t just start pedaling again. But he keeps himself in great shape.”

“I think if anybody can handle it, as we’re getting a little older, he’s definitely the guy because he takes care of himself and his nutrition and his training and just how active he is, too.”
The Rock has, in the past, expressed the desire to face his cousin at WrestleMania. However, nothing beyond rumors could be confirmed on the same. Some believe WWE is saving the match for WrestleMania Hollywood in 2023.
