Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson might have become the biggest star in Hollywood, but he has not forgotten his roots. Keeping that in mind, he recently shared a throwback of his rivalry with Triple H and revealed his current equation with him.

Johnson posted a clip from the Attitude Era when The McMahon-Helmsley Faction and he were feuding on RAW. During this feud, the two men were fighting over the WWE title.

He started off by recollecting his past as a wrestler, “Long before becoming the businessman I am today ~ I cut my teeth and made my bones in another kind of business. The business of throwing around 300lb men for a living or getting my ass kicked, my bell rung 🔔 and concussed thru tables.”

Despite looking dangerous and having highly physical demands, sports entertainment taught The Rock some valuable lessons that he still applies to this day.

“This nightly hardcore nature forced me to become savvy. (It) Forced me to always listen. Ears open, mouth shut. Always taking care of my number #1 boss, the audience. The people.”

His love for the audience and integrity catapulted him from the business of sports entertainment into mainstream entertainment. Hence, he not only became the “most electrifying man in sports entertainment” but in mainstream entertainment as well.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson elaborated his current equation with Triple H

Recently, Bret Hart confirmed that Triple H and Shawn Michaels used to bully the Young Rock. The heavyweight duo tried to “bury” the naïve Johnson to the best of their abilities.

However, Johnson told a different story. He wrote, “My violent friend here @tripleh (legitimately we’re very good friends today;) went on to become one of the GOATs and Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development for the WWE.”

“This was a very special time in pro wrestling, and I’ll be proud of my roots. And yes, this violence was all designed to lead up to a HUGE PPV where we could GUARANTEE two things will happen.”

He said that he delivered his best each time and made sure “all the people will go home happy!” Back then, Triple H and The Rock faced each other at least five times with the WWE title on the line.
