Valentine’s Day is behind us and various people on the internet shared their day with the world. However, it seems like this year’s Valentine’s Day for the former WWE Champion The Rock will hold a special place in his heart for the rest of his life.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson took to his Instagram and uploaded pics with her two daughters who gifted The Rock a heart which they made from handprints. You can tell by the nature of the gift that the two girls love their father and Dwayne Johnson has a special connection with his children.

However, it seems like these gifts on Valentine’s Day made The People’s Champion a bit emotional as he took to his Instagram and wrote a long caption about his relationship with his daughters. Interestingly, The Rock also noted the type of relationship he shared with his father, Rocky Johnson.

The Rock had a different relationship with his father

In his Instagram post, The Rock uploaded photos of his daughters and him where his daughters had his gift. The Brahma Bull then explained what each gift means to him and also revealed how his daughters told him that he was a “friend” to them. This made the Samoan a wee bit emotional.

However, this made the former champion realize that he had a very different relationship with his father. He noted that he didn’t have a very dynamic relationship with his father.

“I never really had that feeling growing up with my old man. He loved his kids and we loved him. He raised me with tough love and very tough discipline ~ but I never considered him a friend. Father/son dynamic is much different than Father/daughter, as we all know. So being a friend is a new one for me – I love it – and makes me realize I’m giving my children some pretty strong anchors. Love, discipline, kindness.. and friendship.” he wrote.

Eventually, Dwayne does have a different dynamic with his daughters, and he is absolutely loving it. Interestingly, The Rock proudly inducted his father into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008, which was a wholesome moment in wrestling.
