At WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes is likely to face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. However, The Rock stands in his way. Since The Rock came back and quickly took Rhodes’ shot at Reigns, the two have been at odds with each other. Many people think that Rock and Reigns could team up to fight Rhodes and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins on Night One of WrestleMania.

When Rhodes and Rock face-off, Bully Ray made some comments to The Rock. In an episode of “Busted Open Radio,” Ray stated that The Rock is overshadowing Reigns at upcoming WrestleMania.

“The Rock overshadowed Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL Kickoff event”

After WWE Elimination Chamber, Cody Rhodes challenged The Rock to a match between the two of them. There are rumors that the big event of night one of WrestleMania will be a tag team match between Rhodes, Rollins as team and Reigns and The Rock as team up. 

At WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes will go up against Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Title. WWE hasn’t said yet if The Rock will be fighting at WrestleMania 40 or who he will be fighting. 

The Rock was the buzz of the WWE Universe after the event that kicked off WrestleMania XL. Fans felt at first that Reigns would face The Rock at WrestleMania XL, but Cody Rhodes decided to face The Tribal Chief instead. Rhodes also said that Reigns and The Rock’s grandfathers would be embarrassed by them, which made The Rock hit The American Nightmare.

Former WWE hall of fame Bully Ray said as recently Cody Rhodes is in trend and challenged The Rock right after Elimination Chamber. He even thinks The Rock is overshadowing Roman Reigns in the feud against Cody Rhodes. 

Recently, over an episode of “Busted Open radio” he said, “It is in my opinion Cody Rhodes is casting over Seth Rollins and The Rock is definitely overshadowing Roman Reigns, coming over the elimination chamber when Cody Rhodes laid down the challenge now I need to hear the rock’s response.”

Ray continued and said he is waiting for The Rock to respond to Cody Rhodes.

“Now the hook is in my mouth. When and where will The Rock respond?”

So, it’s clear that even he, as a fan, wants to see The Rock’s reaction more than Roman reigns. 

What’s next for WrestleMania 40?

Plans for WrestleMania’s biggest bout seemed to be in trouble when The Rock appeared to face Roman Reigns. Things changed, though, when Cody made his case for being the major event at WrestleMania 40. It caused chaos, and in the end, Rock turned against him.

It will be exciting to see how WrestleMania XL goes and if The Bloodline again costs Cody Rhodes his story.
