Dwayne Johnson has been the heart and soul of the ongoing storyline involving his Samoan cousins in WWE. Ever since his return to the promotion, fans have been demanding more of his appearances in the promotion. Although the Hollywood superstar has been pretty generous with showing up on several shows hosted by the company, fans are always looking forward to his next big appearance.

Is Dwayne Johnson already booked for an upcoming Saudi Arabia PLE?

New reports from WON suggest that the WWE legend’s WrestleMania 40 appearance wouldn’t be the last one this year. The Rock has a busy schedule even outside his role in the Stamford-based company. This has often resulted in the promotion not being able to book him for longer storylines following his official retirement. But this time around, things seem a bit different.

Now that Johnson is a part of the TKO board of directors, he seems to be diligently putting in effort to show up more and ultimately profit his company. Reports from the industry insider, WON, claim that he could be seen at a Saudi Arabia PLE shortly after Mania on May 25, 2024.

In 2019, the promotion expanded its relationship with Saudi Arabia and promised to bring two large-scale shows to the Gulf country each year until 2027. As the promotion is still finalizing which show to bring to the audience in Saudi Arabia first, WON claimed that the date is set to be on or around the 25th of May. Although The Brahma Bull’s presence at the PLE is not confirmed yet, WWE authorities are reportedly inclined to have him there.

Triple H has already claimed that Johnson will be booked for many PLEs this year. So far, DJ is going strong with his heel persona in the promotion’s shows but some believe that the story could lead elsewhere.

Dwayne Johnson may act as a catalyst for change

If online fan speculations are to be believed, then The People’s Change could be waiting for the best opportunity to strike down his cousin and snatch away his throne. Since the Universal Championship could be going to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, all that Roman Reigns would be left with is his position in The Bloodline.

According to a pro wrestling industry veteran, this could result in The Tribal Chief eventually becoming a babyface to stand up to his heel family elder.
