Back in 2020, The Rock and Dany Garcia, along with several business partners, purchased XFL from Vince McMahon. WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley was happy to see this acquisition. He further went on to highlight the fact that Johnson had entered into the business venture with his ex-wife.
While speaking with TMZ Sports back in 2020, ‘The Hardcore Legend’ called The Rock’s ex-wife being a partner one of the greatest things about the XFL purchase. Foley said, “So The Rock not only sets an example on how to conduct yourself as a human being an actor or philanthropist, but as a former husband. So it’s a win-win for everybody.”
He added, “Of all the stories I tell about The Rock, I think my favorite one is, he was actually at his ex-wife’s wedding. I think that’s a great lesson for everyone to learn. The fact that they can stay amazing friends, be amazing parents to Simone and take on these business ventures.”
Furthermore, the former three-time WWE Champion recalled seeing DJ and Garcia at the theater. He and his family had gone to watch Fighting With My Family, where Foley told his wife that it was amazing to see Garcia’s name mentioned as a producer on a film that The Rock starred in and produced.
Johnson made tremendous success in his professional life since Garcia became his business partner post-divorce. Foley is happy to see them having success together as business partners and also shared he would love to help DJ.
