Super heel Dwayne Johnson has come back to WWE with a lot of fire and oomph in his promos. The legendary pro wrestler has been taking several creatively insulting shots at his WrestleMania XL opponents Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. However, while The Rock is currently in full swing against these two, a thing from his past has resurfaced at the wrong time.
Dwayne Johnson is one of the most hyperactive WWE superstars on social media. The WWE has often used his immense star power to promote several wrestlers and events online, and he has put several wrestlers over himself. But one such comment now lies bare for everyone to see while speculations of him betraying Roman Reigns run wild.

While Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes have formed a team today, both wrestlers had badly battered each other back in 2022. The American Nightmare and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion fought a no-disqualification Hell in a Cell match. Notably, Rhodes had chosen to contest the match despite having torn his right pectoral muscle. This thrilling and gut-wrenching match fired everyone up, including Dwayne Johnson. Tweeting about it back in 2022, he wrote, “Holy s***. Proud of both, you and Seth. Go make your money!! 👏🏾👏🏾👊🏾.”

— Roman Reigns SZN 💥 (@reigns_era) March 2, 2024
However, his excitement now stands to disrupt the already shaky levels of trust Roman Reigns has in him.
So far, several Dwayne Johnson details being mined online from his previous interviews seemed to be foreshadowing an imminent betrayal of his Tribal Chief. However, this tweet in particular sticks out like a sore thumb.
It adds another reason for fans to believe that The Rock will cross with Reigns, especially after what he did on SmackDown on 1 March 2024.
When a hand gesture revealed something sinister
Dwyane Johnson was recently greeted with loud cheers in Arizona on WWE SmackDown. These cheers didn’t stop even when Roman Reigns asked the crowd to acknowledge him.

Angered by this, The Head of The Table asked The Rock to acknowledge him as his Tribal Chief. After a pause that seemingly took forever, Johnson did acknowledge Reigns as his Tribal Chief. The disappointed crowd erupted with ‘you sold out’ chants, but a hand gesture from The Brahma Bull sent the crowd an encrypted message.
Instead of making ‘the one’ sign along with The Bloodline, The Rock initially made an L-sign with his hands, which the WWE Universe recognized as the sign made by Cody Rhodes.
