Things have changed a lot in the WWE landscape. Dwayne Johnson who was once a beloved star has received one of the loudest boos lately. This happened after he got involved in the Cody Rhodes-Roman Reigns storyline. The internet phenomenon now called the WrestleMania drama has pivoted Johnson in his heel era. However, how does one feel to be booed by his fans for the first time in almost two decades? While we might know the answer to this, someone close to him might do.
Dwayne Johnson’s poker face
Talking with the Busted Open Radio, Mark Henry and Bully Ray who has worked in close proximity with The Brahma Bull shared how the star might have felt after being rejected by fans. The two stars believe that what fans have seen on the two could be a poker face as they were able to decipher Johnson’s facial expressions at that moment.

Henry said that his expressions were something to that of Denzel Washington‘s from his 2001 movie, Training Day. “It was like Denzel Washington’s Training Day, when everybody came for him and he was like really, you’re gonna do this to me,” Henry said. He further added, “That is exactly the expression he gave.”
Bully Ray reminded the hosts of the show that the two have worked closely with Johnson and they are very familiar with how his expressions change when he is not happy. He said, “We can only harken back to when we drove with him or worked with him to know that the face he (Dwayne Johnson) made was not the face of happiness.”

The social phenomenon turned into a global one, especially after all the fan backlash. While Grayson Waller hates Johnson to his core, he decides to break his kayfabe to address the situation.
Grayson Waller sides with The Rock
In an interview with Inside the Ropes, The Arrogant Aussie decided to call out fans and might probably support Johnson for the first time in his career. He stated that fans were eagerly waiting for Johnson to come back to WWE. Apart from that, they wanted to see Johnson and Roman Reigns clash. Waller further added, “People have been begging for it for years, then they get it and now they’re complaining about it.”
He concluded by saying that this incident highlights how “stupid these fans are.” According to him, when WWE tried to give them a dream match, they started stating that they didn’t want it now. The backlash faced by Johnson took an ugly turn when his daughter, Simone Johnson a.k.a Ava Raine also fell on fans’ radar. What are your views on Mark Henry and Bully Ray’s comments?
