A recent revelation shown has reflected on the power that the former wrestler carries in his persona. The divulgence was regarding Bill Goldberg’s entry into WWE.

His career with the popular entertainment platform might not have been possible if The Rock was not his first competitor. For this, he must be thankful to Johnson.

As we know, Goldberg was a big part of the Attitude Era. He has been one of the dominating wrestlers of that era. However, when he was about to join WWE, he wasn’t that sure. Then what actually persuaded him to do so?

Nothing has changed, people still fall for his charming personality. But in the case of the semi-retired wrestler, a 13-minute match with The Rock was more than enough to create an impact. On top of which, he defeats Johnson in his debut match.

As JR said, “Yeah, Rock had a great influence and impact on that whole negotiation because he was the top guy. He was The Rock. And anytime you can get a top guy to vouch for you, that they want to work with you at the biggest event of the year, how could it not make you feel pretty good?” 

Bill Goldberg’s possibility of joining AEW

Even after WCW shut down, and the WWE Hall of Famer had an offer from Vince McMahon, he was on the fence. However, the recent news about the possibility of him joining AEW looks pretty strong. 

The wrestler last fought against Roman Reigns at the 2022 Elimination Chamber premium live event. In his long journey as a wrestler, he has achieved it all. The two-time Champion has created history and one can now even see his streak on WWE Network. 

After all this while, Goldberg would never forget one wrestler whose charm and strength induced him to join WWE. Ever since then, he has been ruling our hearts.
