But he changed all that when he showed everyone the greatness inside him. Wrestling fans will forever regard The Rock’s persona as the epitome of pro wrestling. But there was still time for Johnson to launch off in Hollywood. While he can manage criticism from strangers, how does he deal with it when it is his own father?
Rocky Johnson reveals his favorite Dwayne Johnson movies
Hannibal TV once got hold of Rocky Johnson in 2017 and asked him which movies of his son, Dwayne Johnson, he liked, he replied. “Yeah, I like the ones where he has those kids. Those football players, the young kids that are in prison, change the world when they get old. 70% made it back and 30% went back to drugs. Then he did The Game Plan which the family can watch it.”
“Now he’s done Fast and Furious and broke all the records that did over 2 billion dollars. I’m not into it anymore. 80 miles an hour, crashing up this car and shooting this guy.”
“He loves The Game Plan, and he loves doing those movies, but he’s versatile, he can do any kind of movie. He’s just finished now in Vancouver, Skyscraper. You know, that motorcycle, all that other stuff, and goofy stunts. But I look at it and I go, maybe if I was his age I would do it too. I wouldn’t do it today.”

While the ‘Fast and Furious’ movies and other action flicks are the movies where Johnson shines the most, his father was, just like any other parent, was scared for his child. Johnson is one of the few actors who do their own stunts. This involves a greater level of risk in every action flick that he does. So while action movies are better for him, he should listen to his late father as well.
