Dwayne Johnson’s Daughter’s WWE Career Takes Another Unexpected Turn 4 Months After NXT Debut

Dwayne Johnson earned his spot in WWE, and became a main-event level talent, before switching over to Hollywood to pursue the next phase of his career as an actor. Apart from a successful professional career, Johnson is also a family man and has three daughters. While two of his daughters are still young, his eldest daughter, on the other hand, has done something remarkable.

Often a parent wishes their children to do something similar to them, and Simone Johnson has done something like that. The Rock’s elder daughter has taken to him in one aspect, and fans love it. Simone Johnson is also a pro wrestler and followed her father’s footsteps into the company.

The 21-year-old made her WWE debut back in October 2022. However, within 4 months of her WWE career, fans saw her undergo a major transformation.  Simone Johnson has been known by her ring name Ava Raine in WWE . However, just 4 months after her NXT debut, she has undergone a massive change.

Within months of her WWE debut, Johnson’s reel life name, Ava Raine was changed. Her surname has been removed from her WWE bio, while only her first name was kept. She is currently known as just Ava.

Many WWE fans did not take the change well and started expressed their feelings about it. Several top stars on the roster have a surname, and fans demanded the same for her as well.

WWE fans react to Simone Johnson’s WWE name change

Being the daughter of WWE legend, The Rock, fans have high hopes for Simone Johnson. Her character has been slowly building momentum on NXT. However, WWE’s decision of removing her last name hasn’t gone down well with the fans.

After making her debut in October, she joined the heel faction Schism on WWE NXT, Raine has been a fixture of the stable and has been presented well on TV thus far. Ever since her debut, Ava has been portrayed as a strong female character. Will she be following her own path? Or taking her father’s approach? Or does WWE has other plans for her?
