Backlash 2023 made its mark among the audience on May 6th. While some viewers were satisfied, others weren’t. Dwayne Johnson‘s daughter Ava Raine did not skip the show and her tweet suggests she was satisfied with what she saw. Raine’s in-ring debut took place during the WrestleMania 39 weekend this year and she has already revealed a crucial detail about herself.
In a recent Tweet, Raine revealed her WWE inspiration and, ironically, it’s not her father, Dwayne Johnson. Despite serving the sports entertainment industry for over a decade, The Rock is not who Raine looks up to. Instead, it’s one of the new LWO members.

‘Queen’ Zelina Vega is the LWO member that Raine looks up to. The story started with the ‘Legado del Fantasma’ joining Rey Mysterio in his effort to revive the LWO. The new team started to feud with Judgment Day. To kick off the rivalry in a big way, Vega and Rhea Ripley faced each other at Backlash 2023. Although Ripley got the best of her, Raine did not let Vega’s efforts slip away into nothingness.

On her Twitter account, Raine wrote, “Zelina Vega is a star. My biggest inspiration.” Johnson’s daughter couldn’t hold herself back from appreciating a fellow female wrestler’s efforts. In fact, she went the extra mile to call Vega her ‘biggest inspiration’. This came as a contrast to her father’s statement, who used to look up to his father, Rocky Johnson, among other male wrestlers as well.
This act of kindness would work a long way for Vega because of the emotional state she was in, right before her match with Ripley.

Right before her match with The Eradicator, Zelina Vega couldn’t stop her tears. This happened because she was thinking about her father, whom she lost during the 9/11 attack at the World Trade Center in New York City. Moreover, she had promised her father to be a wrestler and also a champion when she was a kid. Although the former part of the promise was completed long ago, the latter part was about to be.
Because The Eradicator proved to be the more fierce contestant out of the two, Vega lost. Hence, one of her promises was left unfulfilled. So, to avoid an emotional breakdown on her part, Raine tweeted in support of Vega, deeming her efforts valid.
