Dwayne Johnson’s Current Status of Bagging $15 Million a Movie Labelled Too Big a Thing to Compromise for a WWE Return – “He’s So Big Right Now”

A majority of pro wrestling fans will agree with the fact that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has to be one of the biggest WWE stars. Since his initial debut, fans have enjoyed seeing him in the ring. And since his retirement from WWE in 2004 fans often clamour to see The Rock return to the ring one more time and while their wishes have been fulfilled in the past, the desire to see their favorite stars isn’t going away.

With the current Bloodline Saga gaining momentum, fans have been expecting Johnson to make a comeback and share the ring with his cousin Roman Reigns. However, WWE Hall of Famer and ex-general manager of RAW, Eric Bischoff has some hard-hitting revelations for the fans.

Why Dwayne Johnson might not make his WWE comeback

In the recent episode of his podcast Locked and Loaded with Eric Bischoff, he gave an insight as to why it might be difficult for The Brahma Bull to return to WWE. According to him, Johnson has been gone from the ring for way too long. 

The Rock’s not coming back. He’s making $15 million a movie. He’s got stunt doubles, and he’s so big right now.” he said.

Furthermore talking about the challenges that he could face if he decides to make a comeback, Bischoff said, “When a performer or wrestler walks away from the business, whether they were injured or for whatever reason… That off time, it takes a long time to get your body into wrestling condition.” Considering the fact that he has a busy schedule, he might not be able to put enough time and effort into training for pro wrestling.

Johnson is one of those few WWE stars who made it big in the movie industry.

Johnson’s retirement and his Hollywood career

In 2004, Johnson’s contract with WWE was expired. He was already doing movies in Hollywood. As he was already facing scheduling difficulties with WWE and movies, he decided not to renew his contract and carry on his work in Hollywood.

In an Instagram video that he posted a few years ago, he said that he wanted to become successful outside the WWE world. He wanted to have a global impact. Since his debut in Hollywood, he has been associated with big projects like Jumanji series, Fast & Furious franchise, DC’s Black Adam and he even has his own production company called the Seven Bucks Production.
