One of Johnson’s co-owned companies, ZOA Energy, has been ranked among the top 50 startups by LinkedIn. The energy drink company has been placed at number 37 on the 2023 LinkedIn Top Startups List in the United States.

Zoa Energy was founded in 2021 by business partners Dany Garcia, Dwayne Johnson, Dave Rienzi and John Shulman. As per LinkedIn, it has a Full-time headcount of 75 employees.

Earlier this month, reports said that Molson Coors Beverage Company, a Chicago based multinational with an active partnership with ZOA, will invest more money in the venture. A press release noted that ZOA raked up $100 million in sales last year and a 138% year-over-year growth.

After the list was out, Garcia, who is also Johnson’s former wife, took to Instagram to celebrate the achievement. “YAY!!!!!! And thank you to every #zoawarrior who put us on that list,” her Instagram story displayed. The list was topped by financial services company Ramp.

Liquid Death, Whatnot, Wiz, Cohere Health, Drata, Tropic, Charlie Health, Dandy and Seamless.AI made the following 10 positions, respectively.

A few days ago, Johnson, Rienzi and Garcia sat with Forbes’ Jeff Conway to discuss the launch of their new offering- ZOA+ Powder. Marketed as “five-in-one advanced pre workout supplement”, it is priced at $49.99 for each 13 oz or 370 grams container. The powders are available in three different flavors- Wild Berry, Cherry Limeade and Fruit Punch.

Speaking about his product, Johnson said, “… it was a great opportunity for us to look at everything that’s on the market and see if there is a way that we could tweak and change the paradigm a little bit and create something that isn’t out there on the market.” He said having his own line of supplement allowed him to “control the formulation”.
