Not only did the sport of football offer Johnson ’emotional pain’, due to the fact that he couldn’t pursue it further, but the sport also gave him several severe injuries. During the post-release promotion of his movie Jungle Cruise, Johnson appeared on the YouTube channel Wired, for an interview alongside Emily Blunt. The Hollywood beauty was reading the most searched questions regarding Dwayne Johnson and one of them read, “What was Dwayne Johnson’s football injury?”
DJ revealed, “I’ve had many. I’ve had a complete shoulder separation here, that required complete reconstruction of my shoulder. I’ve had five knee surgeries from football and a torn Achilles.” The WWE legend suffered a number of injuries from football alone, even before he got on with wrestling. Apart from a shoulder separation football also gave Johnson five knee surgeries toward the end.
Blunt even joked about the same by wondering if these surgeries are the reason behind The Brahma Bull’s fake leg. The Hollywood star quickly replied by saying that he doesn’t have any fake legs, and in fact, all his legs are real.
Out of the five knee surgeries he mentioned, Johnson credited four of them for stopping him from doing one of his favorite exercises. After years of recovery, he was finally able to perform this exercise in June this year.
