“WrestlingNews.co was told that there was some hope that The Rock would actually wrestle at Survivor Series. The reason why WWE wants The Rock on that show is to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his debut. The Rock debuted in a traditional Survivor Series match in 1996.”

Nothing official about the news has been confirmed by WWE, but the fans are jumping at the sound of it. After being nice years away from proper in-ring brawls, WWE is hopeful that the megastar makes his way back into it. The fans are even starting to speculate about his opponent for the pay-per-view.

Will Dwayne Johnson face Roman Reigns?

On paper, the most obvious choice for Dwayne’s opponent is his own cousin, ‘The Big Dog’, Roman Reigns. The fans are drooling at the thought of seeing The Rock dethrone Reigns as the Tribal Chief. But will WWE be able to do it?

Reigns is at the peak of his career at the moment. The fans as well as wrestling critics love what he has achieved in WWE. If you ask us, we don’t think WWE will put The Rock over The Big Dog as it is not good for business. Dwayne is a part-time wrestler to say the least, so to put him over a full-timer, who is also the face of the company, is a big no-no.

It will be really interesting to see who WWE finally decides to book against the Rock, assuming he is coming back. For now, we can only speculate.
