The WWE community still hasn’t comprehended the fact that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made his long-awaited comeback to WWE. He returned to the stage in the most recent episode of SmackDown alongside Pat McAfee and Austin Theory in the ring. Fans got to witness his larger-than-life entry once again along with seeing him deliver his signature People’s Elbow after such a long time.

However, as Johnson was busy in the ring, a few of his friends from his old WWF days decided to meet up. And the sad part is, that Johnson was not available for the reunion.

Mark Henry, who happens to be the former member of the heel faction, The Nation of Domination, took to Instagram to share the faction’s reunion. Although not all members were present, many of the major faces were seen. In the picture, we can see Mark Henry along with Ronald Simmons aka Farooq, Charles Wright aka The Godfather, and Accie Julius Conner aka D’Lo Brown. The caption, written by Henry, was heartwarming. He wrote, Blessed to have had this reunion with my brothers!”, showing his happiness after meeting his old friends. They all were seen doing the iconic The Nation of Domination ‘salute’.

The only members who were missing in the picture were Johnson and Owen Hart. The Nation of Domination was loosely based on a religious and political organization back in the United States. Farooq was the original leader.

However, The Rock took the reigns from him in 1998. The wrestling stable was a fan favorite. While all the members included in the faction were heels, The Rock’s charm started to catch on with the fans and WWF didn’t have any other option. Johnson was later turned into a face which eventually led to the fall of The Nation.

With the eventual fall of the stable, the members were divided. Some stayed together while some went on different paths.

What happened to the members of The Nation?

After Johnson decided to have his solo run, other members parted ways too. Owen Hart formed a tag team with Jeff Jarrett. They had a successful run as a tag team and Hart was on a roll until his sudden death in May 1999. The Godfather went out on his own as well, having a solo run just like Johnson. D’Lo Brown and Henry also formed a tag team and garnered success in their own right. This changed when they both turned on each other, thus ending the stable completely.

After a 25-year-long career, Mark Henry retired from WWE in 2018. After that, he was on a break for three years. He then joined AEW in 2021. He works as an analyst, a talent scout, a coach, and a commentator at the promotion.

That being said, it seems that the reunion has shown that all members fo the stable are doing pretty good all things considered.
