Recently, DJ’s Dream Tequila surpassed one million nine-liter case sales annually. It undoubtedly added another record-breaking accomplishment to the Rock’s never-ending achievement list and proved its worth to please the consumer’s taste to a great extent.

From technology to quality to price, DJ didn’t compromise a bit in terms of ensuring the highest standard for his product. But the initial journey was not this smooth. In fact, the brand faced several major challenges, one of which was about earning consumers’ credibility in a declining marketplace.

Dwayne Johnson recalls how his $3.5 billion worth business managed to escape a potential threat

Teremana Tequila has been launched in March 2022, the time when the entire world was coping with the fatal COVID-19. The economy of the big countries drastically went down.

So it was pretty difficult to get a hold of the market back then as the pandemic-stricken mass quite obviously was not very likely to put their trust in something new or to do any experiment with their daily products.

It was pretty challenging to create a consumer base, but DJ did it eventually. During a recent interview with CNBC, the actor noted how he didn’t expect but had some hunches about the grand success of his craziest venture.

The Jumanji actor noted, ‘The world and our businesses were shutting down. I did feel at that time that we had a shot to create an experience for the consumer. Even though, as we all know, at that time, consumers only wanted what they were familiar with. Being a new brand in the marketplace, we had our challenges, but we did create something special. And now a few years later, down the road, on with you guys, we have become the fastest premium spirit in US history, the fastest growing premium spirit in US history. It’s really been an incredible journey.’

After the grand success of his brand, DJ quite expectedly started aiming for the next big star. He turned toward his social media handles to offer some good news to all the Teremana lovers. After boasting about the improved business of his product on Twitter, the 50-year-old took to his Instagram to launch a lucrative offer of a $10 discount per tequila bottle.

The idea was to compel people to buy more products that will automatically make a rise in the sales figures. He also announced the giveaway of $1 million of guacamole, an avocado-based dip.
