In the entertainment world, Dwayne Johnson has become a household name. And by the word ‘entertainment’ here, we don’t only mean Holywood and WWE. The multi-faceted superhero also had enough vocal prowess to flaunt. Johnson’s creative pursuit expands beyond the horizon and in the case of music, he put it into play on various occasions. In 2007, he made his singing debut in the Disney film “The Game Plan,” where he performed a soulful rendition of the Elvis Presley classic, “Are You Lonesome Tonight?”

Ever since then, he continued his singing streak in a few more projects. His song in the movie ‘Moana’ and his voice-over in the character ‘Maui’ cemented his status as a credible singer.

None of these are unknown to Johnson’s regular fans. But they might have missed out on an interesting backstory behind Johnson’s music mojo. The wrestler-turned-actor explained his childhood dream of being a country music star in his latest IG post.

”I apologize in advance to @thechrisjanson & @officialhankjr for singing in keys that sure as hell don’t exist, but I sing from the heart + I got tequila so that always helps 😂🥃

I got the craziest stories out of Nashville when I was a broke 15yr old kid, hanging out on Music Row looking for a job and drinking (diet coke:) in those honky tonk dive bars- with this wild hair of an idea that I was gonna be a country music star.” he wrote.
