Dwayne Johnson is one of the most popular stars in the entertainment world. He is an extremely known figure in both Hollywood and the pro wrestling sector. Ever since Johnson made his debut in WWE, he has been a top star in the company. However, he left WWE a long time ago and since has joined Hollywood.
Johnson has starred in several movies while sporadically making appearances for WWE. Johnson is currently rumored to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.

Back in 2015, The Rock aka Dwayne Johnson would make his comeback to WWE and aid his cousin Roman Reigns in winning the Royal Rumble. However, it would be a one-night appearance, and Johnson would further not involve in any other storyline.

However, in an interview dating back to 2013, Dwayne Johnson was interviewed by Chris Van Vliet, where he would reveal his favorite WWE Superstar from that batch. However, as surprising as it might sound, the name he took was not that of his cousin.
Dwayne Johnson reveals his favourite WWE Superstar
In the interview that took place, Johnson would reveal his favourite WWE Superstar. Although, he took the name of his cousin, Roman Reigns, it was not his favourite. Johnson said, “Yeah let’s see, I would say probably, let me say in the WWE, I would say Roman Reigns. He is a cousin of mine. I think he looks great, very talented in the ring, the shield. All those three guys, by the way, doing a great job.”
However, as he proceeded, he took a surprising name and placed it over The Tribal Chief. The Rock would claim Fandango to be his favourite, since he could craft his character work, and embrace it completely.
He said, “I’ll say this, and he also knows this but Fandango is one of my favorites. And what makes him such an interesting character, and wrestling fans understand this when I tell them this, to play a character like that, you’ve got to embrace it.”

The Brahma Bull of WWE would state that playing a character like Fandango is not easy, and he embraced it and played it efficiently. The 2013 Dwayne Johnson, however, did not acknowledge The Tribal Chief. But if he returns now at the Royal Rumble, it will be interesting to see if Dwayne Johnson finally acknowledges his cousin or not.
