Dwayne Johnson is one of the world’s most popular actors. Ever since Johnson stepped into Hollywood for making movies, he won over his fan’s hearts.
With a big and strong muscular body, Johnson is known for the action roles that he plays.
However, he was not always an actor. After a failed football career, he found comfort and money in pro wrestling and WWE. Soon after making his debut in WWE, he became one of the biggest stars the company had ever seen, owing to his mic skills, charisma, and wrestling abilities.

After starring in Hollywood, Johnson has been involved in a variety of films. From starting as The Scorpion King, to a tooth fairy to even a fire brigade officer, Johnson has done it all. However, a few years back, he released a movie, ‘Rampage’ which saw him playing a unique role.
Although the movie was not critically acclaimed, it received praise for its CGI. During the promotions of the film, The Rock met with Ellen DeGeneres, and discussed the film, and adopting a Gorilla.
While speaking about the Dian Fossey Foundation in Africa, Johnson revealed how he has adopted a silverback there.

He said, “I had an opportunity to spend time with their(In Africa) big silverback. His name is Taz. Actually, I believe that is my son who they wonderfully let me adopt in my name. I can make girls so, that’s my son. Iamboray is his name.”
Silverbacks generally weight between 370-500lbs, and Johnson adopted this massive giant.
He further proclaimed how his adoptive son recently had a baby with the oldest gorilla in the foundation, and while speaking, he seemed like a proud grandfather speaking about his grandchildren.

In 2018, Dwayne Johnson’s film Rampage came about, and it was about him and a giant gorilla. However, while speaking to Ellen in the aforementioned interview, he opened up about his preparations for the role.
Johnson claimed he had visited a zoo in Atlanta, which had the highest number of Silverback gorillas, and he was supposed to feed Taz there.
However, the primatologist there had warned Johnson that Taz might become aggressive. However, when Taz finally arrived, and Johnson was about to feed him, he gently sat down and waited for Johnson to feed him.

The Rock concluded with, “In this moment you realize that just how powerful, but yet how soft and gentle these animals are. And, you can obviously feel it energetically what we’re giving these animals. So, it was really beautiful.”
