In an interview on Oprah’s 2020 Vision Tour Visionaries, he said, “I felt he was proud of me when I became successful in an industry that he has given his life to. So, my father, for a lot of you guys who don’t know, he was a professional wrestler. And my grandfather was a professional wrestler too.”

Rocky Johnson and Peter Maivia (The Rock’s grandfather) also won several championships in their respective pro wrestling careers. Both of them also got inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008. And it is likely that Dwayne Johnson will also become a WWE Hall of Famer in the future.
