When it comes to combat sports, Dwayne Johnson is best known for fighting in professional wrestling. Now an enormous star in Hollywood, the former WWE talent announced on Friday that he will play Mark Kerr in a new movie about the life and career of WWE great Ric Flair. Flair has been in the WWE Hall of Fame twice and currently has the record for the highest number of championship wins alongside John Cena, with 16 title wins.
Seven Bucks Productions to work on the biopic of Ric Flair
Seven Bucks Productions is working on a movie about the life of wrestling legend Ric Flair. As per, The Wrap, The Rock, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and Kevin Misher of Misher Films will work together to create the idea. Misher and Seven Bucks Productions previously worked together on Fighting With My Family, an autobiographical film. It was based on the life of Saraya, more commonly recognized as WWE’s Paige.

“As a kid who grew up in professional wrestling, I idolized ‘The Nature Boy,’ Ric Flair,” Johnson said, showing how much he admired Flair. “He was a hero to me. And once I broke into the wrestling business and began to spill my own sweat and blood – my reverence for Ric turned to respect.”
Johnson then talked about Flair’s huge effect on the wrestling business and his unmatched ability to change the rules of the game. He talked about how important the project was to him personally. Especially as he is excited to tell people about Flair’s story.

Ric Flair is famous for having a distinguished career that lasted for many years, having won the World Championship 16 times. Flair is now with AEW and continues to fascinate crowds, especially when he is around fellow wrestling legend Sting, who is set to fight in his final match at AEW Revolution.

In October, Flair himself suggested that there might be a movie about his life. Now that Seven Bucks Productions is in charge, fans can look forward to a thorough picture of one of WWE’s most famous figures. Currently, it’s unknown how much of the wrestling legend’s life will be covered. However, considering his fanbase and an illustrious career to boot, a Flair biopic is sure to fill theatres.
