Dwayne Johnson has achieved an extraordinary level of success that serves as a source of inspiration for numerous people. Through relentless dedication and perseverance, Johnson has reached the highest point of the entertainment industry.
Similar to Dwayne Johnson, former WWE superstar John Cena is also a rising name in Hollywood. Despite experiencing setbacks early in his bodybuilding aspirations, Cena redirected his focus to the wrestling industry. He quickly rose to prominence as a notable figure within the WWE roster. However, Cena eventually made the decision to leave the company behind and venture into the world of Hollywood, aiming to pursue a career as an actor.

Both John Cena and Dwayne Johnson are two pioneers of professional wrestling, and over the years have set an example for many. The duo last shared the screen together when Cena helped Johnson fend off an attack from The Wyatt Family at WrestleMania 32.
However, after that, the legends failed to appear on television at the same time. Although, the latest rumors that have popped up which suggest The Rock and Cena finally sharing the screen, and this time, the big screen for the first time.
Dwayne Johnson and John Cena are coming together for Fast X
Fast X is scheduled to release later this year, and has John Cena reprise his role as Dom Toretto’s brother. However, since Fast 5, Johnson has been an integral part of the franchise until he decided to leave it because of his tensions with Vin Diesel.
Former Fast & Furious director Justin Lin had also complained about bad working relations with Diesel, which prompted him to leave the franchise. Johnson last reprised his role in the franchise in the 2019 film, ‘Hobbs & Shaw’, post which he never returned to the franchise. His return to the $5 billion franchise seemed unlikely.
Until very recently, when rumors started appearing of Dwayne Johnson making a cameo in Fast X. Vin Diesel and Johnson had their relationship on a sour note. And the 51-year-old had apparently declared that he would not be returning to the franchise.
However, as per the latest reports, Johnson has rejoined the $5 billion film franchise. And is set to reprise his role as Luke Hobbs in a cameo role in the film. The news came as a shocker since fans believed The Brahma Bull will never return to the franchise after his ugly spat with Vin Diesel.
With now his return confirmed, fans are excited to see how the chemistry unfolds between The Rock and John Cena on the big screen.
Have Cena and Johnson worked together before?
Dwayne Johnson and John Cena have been colleagues for a long time, but they only worked with each other for the first time at Survivor Series 2012. During the event, The Rock and Cena teamed up to face the tag-team of R-Truth and The Miz.
And after that, they again came face to face at WrestleMania 28, when The Rock defeated John Cena in a marquee. However, it led to their WWE Championship main-event match at WrestleMania 29. At WrestleMania 29, John Cena would defeat The Rock avenging his loss from a year ago.
But, apart from working together in WWE, the duo has never worked outside of it together. This would be the first time that fans could witness Dwayne Johnson and John Cena share the big screen.
Before Dwayne Johnson was let go of his services from the DCEU, fans were expecting to see Johnson’s Black Adam and Cena’s Peacemaker come together for a brief moment. Unfortunately, as per recent events, fans might never witness that.
Nevertheless, seeing Luke Hobbs and Jakob Toretto coming together for the first time, and being on the screen would be a treat for not only for the Hollywood fans but for those wrestling fans who watched them collide at WrestleMania a decade ago.

Both John Cena and Dwayne Johnson are two of the most over and popular entertainers of all time. And with them likely to share the big screen for the first time the excitement is palpable among fans as their chemistry is definitely a visual treat for the fans.
