Dwayne Johnson scored highly with the wrestling faithful as a WWE heel in the last few months. However, lady luck hasn’t shone on him in his Hollywood career. His on-screen portrayal of an antihero in Black Adam continues to be on the receiving end of the critics’ wrath. To add to the disgrace of arguably the most controversial movie of Johnson’s life, Jim Cornette revealed a lesser-known truth about the shooting stratagem. And it painted an ugly picture.

Apparently, The Rock not only breaks rules inside WWE but also in his own movie productions.

Despite Dwayne Johnson’s prowess in action movies, 2022’s DC movie Black Adam emerged as a box-office catastrophe. While The Rock gave the film his all, the outcome didn’t live up to expectations. A poorly written script, chunk of unfamiliar faces, the aftermath of Covid, and, of course, the lack of accountability from The Rock contributed heavily to the failure of the $195 million production.

While The Rock has already moved on from this ill repute, Jim Cornette, on his podcast, revealed a detail that does not bode well for the reputation of The Brahma Bull.

“The Rock broke this rule and went home for Christmas where he caught COVID and added delay production. The guy also claimed that for the Rock’s DC movie Black Adam, much of the film was shot with the Rock’s stunt double and they used CGI to replace his face.” Cornette revealed while discussing a wide variety of topics surrounding Dwayne Johnson’s life.

Nevertheless, The Rock did not want to abandon his creation. He gave his point of view on why he thought the movie failed. Moreover, Johnson also bemoaned the lack of options for the character’s revitalization in the future.

Dwayne Jonson recently sat for a candid chat session during a new episode of Kevin Hart’s ”Hart to Hart” talk show on Peacock. He looked back at his not-so-celebrated ride with the Black Adam.

DC Studios had put the wheels in motion for a face-off between Johnson’s Black Adam and Henry Cavill’s Superman. However, they gave up on that idea with James Gunn and Peter Safran occupying leadership roles.

”Black Adam’ got caught in a vortex of new leadership, It was so many changes in leadership. Anytime you have a company, a publicly traded company, and you have all those changes in leadership, you have people coming in who, creatively and fiscally, are going to make decisions that you may not agree with,” Johnson noted.
