Before donning his current gimmick, Cena used to be a rapper and a prototype. During his latest interview with Kevin Hart, Hart would brutally roast Cena and Dwayne Johnson for their looks at the start of their career. Hart would not hold back and brought Cena to the verge of tears.

Before being John Cena, the 46-year-old portrayed the role of a prototype. He wore trunks and sported a blonde hairstyle. However, while Cena spoke about having a picture with Dwayne Johnson at the Gold’s Gym early in their career, Hart would ignore it and instead choose to troll their appearance.

Both Cena and Johnson shared a bizarre hairstyle back then, and it gave Hart the opportunity of trolling them.

He would brutally roast Cena and Johnson about their hair. Hart said, “You had that dumba** hair. The stupid a** hairdo.” He further said, “You looked like a fucking idiot. Yeah! You know that piece? That stupid a** piece that hung down, that stupid a** piece. The d**k piece on your f***ing forehead.”

However, as his career started going uphill, Cena would completely revamp himself and portray himself as a rapper. His success as the prototype was very limited, and a character revamp was needed, which Cena executed with perfection. While Johnson did the same as well. After tasting failure as Rocky Maivia, he would reinvent himself and become The Rock.
