While AEW is particularly known for giving a platform to fresh faces in pro wrestling and bringing talent from NJPW to North America, there is also one man who has always been in the conversation. Whenever AEW is criticized or called out, one man jumps out to protect his brand, that is the CEO of the company, Tony Khan.

While he did the same after a recent claim against the company, this WCW legend is calling him out for being “childish” on social media.

On the latest episode of Strictly Business, former WCW executive, Eric Bischoff answered some burning wrestling questions. But when his co-host, Jon Alba asked him about the recent tweet by Khan, Bischoff had a lot of things to say.

A few days ago Khan took to Twitter to debunk an ESPN reporter who claimed that AEW’s Wembley Stadium show isn’t going to have more than 30,000 seats for the fans. But Khan didn’t stop at debunking it either. He blamed Nick Khan for flaming this false news. Alba asked Bischoff to give his opinion about his Twitter drama.

He replied, “Tony is a man-child. I haven’t seen the report, and I don’t know who the reporter is, but I saw Tony’s response. Tony do yourself a favor, do your company a favor, stay away from the camera. Just stay away. Put out a press release, and have a spokesperson… Every time Tony Khan steps in front of the camera, he makes his brand look childish and silly. Dude, you are not in a war.

Bischoff even added that Khan thinks of himself as being in a situation like the Monday Night Wars. While AEW isn’t even close to making as much profit or booking tickets as much as them, there has been a rivalry between the companies, more so on social media. But this isn’t the first time that Khan showed unusual behavior in the wrestling world.

Last year, during Kenny Omega’s historic AEW title run, Khan appeared on AEW Dark Elevation to schedule a match. After Matt Sydal won a big match, that should’ve guaranteed him a title shot, Omega backed down. But Khan appeared on the show and made sure that Sydal and Omega will have a match nine days from then.

This appearance isn’t out of the blue, as Vince McMahon himself has done quite a few in the past. His insertion of Charlotte Flair in the first-ever women’s WrestleMania main event is a highlight. But fans had the opposite reaction to Khan’s appearance on AEW Dark Elevation. They thought that this appearance was ‘cringe-worthy’ which wrestling legend Tony Schiavone had to defend on Twitter.
