Drew McIntyre’s reign as a villain has catapulted him back to a World Championship showdown at WrestleMania. Since he came back to WWE in 2017, Drew McIntyre has proven himself as a valuable addition to the WWE roster. Even though the chances were against him, he has managed to work his way up to a main event match at WrestleMania against Seth Rollins. However, despite the fact that he won against LA Knight at the Elimination Chamber 2024, LA knight still managed to troll him over social media. It all started when McIntyre poked fun at Knight for his Slim Jim sponsorship.

Drew McIntyre hijacks LA Knight’s sponsorship

A lot of fans have called Drew McIntyre the best heel in all of WWE right now. In one of his latest acts as a heel on social media, McIntyre took a jab at LA Knight, bragging about getting sponsored by Slim Jim and effectively stealing the spotlight from Knight.

WWE first announced that they would be working with Slim Jim in August 2023. The relationship was formally launched at SummerSlam. The Scottish Warrior posted a video of himself on Twitter, where he said that he had taken Knight’s Slim Jim sponsorship for himself. He would then tell a lucky fan how they could win a lot of money and a free ride in a Slim Jim GTR with Drew McIntyre.

Right after this incident, LA Knight responded in his own way. Knight trolled McIntyre by quote-tweeting his video and dragged him for his choice of words.

It was not the first time this week that Drew McIntyre has pointed a jab at LA Knight. While Knight might have been able to retaliate this time around, there wasn’t much he could do when McIntyre eliminated him from the men’s Elimination Chamber match this year. The winner of the 2024 Men’s Elimination Chamber is Drew McIntyre. While Knight had his five seconds of fame on social media, McIntyre will face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.

Now, he will face Seth “Freakin'” Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40 after this win. Rollins is out with an injury right now, but he has promised to protect his title at the two-night show in April. This is McIntyre’s third time entering a World Championship match at WrestleMania. If McIntyre fails his chance for the title, that will give Knight yet another reason to poke fun at him.
