The vague air surrounding the Scottish Warrior’s contract status seems to be settling with the big wrestling season approaching closer. According to the last development, Drew McIntyre’s time with the Stamford-based company was set to expire shortly after WrestleMania 40.  However, a new update promises something more for the 38-year-old and his fans.

Drew Mclntyre’s WWE tenure to continue beyond WrestleMania?

Fightful Select confirmed in their latest report that McIntyre has a locked deal up to the biggest wrestling extravaganza of the year in April. The promotion has also added some extra time to his presence in the company due to his previous injuries. Fightful also revealed that Scotsman and WWE have engaged in talks to over a contract renewal. However, developments have only been confined to the conversation level so far.

Mclntyre has highly been favored among WWE higher-ups and peers for what he brings to the table in and outside the ring.

There has been a huge discussion spree regarding what McIntyre has been up to in his WWE endeavors. The narrative gained traction when news of his disagreements with the creative came to the surface. Later it was revealed that he abruptly walked out of the building following CM Punk’s monumental homecoming during Survivor Series. However, it was seemingly dissolved shortly as the company planted him on the top spot at the red brand against the two needle movers of the company, Cody Rhodes, and the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.

But coming back to his contract status, The Scottish Warrior aptly kept the details close to his chest.

Mclntyre fuels speculation over his future by suggesting he will “let the internet talk about it”

In a recent interview with The West Sport, Drew McIntyre refused to come clean on his status after WrestleMania. Rather he kept us guessing making a bizarre comment on the rampant speculations swirling all over the internet. “I can’t talk about that. I’ll let the internet talk about it. I’ll just keep watching. It’s interesting. I’m not the only one that has a contract in WWE. It’s just interesting that it seems to be mine that is on there every week for a year.” he explained.

However, regardless of the timeline for what he will be in the house doing what he does best, the former world champion is now eagle-eyed to punch his shot against Rollins’ World Heavyweight championship by winning his upcoming Elimination Chamber bout.
