Turning heel gained him admiration from the fans, and his jabs at CM Punk laid the groundwork for a future feud. However, one thing fans were worried about was his WWE contract. He won and lost the WWE World Heavyweight title at Mania XL in 5 minutes. This made fans believe he was leaving as he hadn’t yet re-signed with the company.

While Drew McIntyre does have his sights set on Damian Priest, who stole the title by cashing in his MITB briefcase, he also has CM Punk to worry about. Punk was the reason Priest got the chance to cash in at Mania. He was also the reason McIntyre lost the qualifying match to face Priest at Backlash for the title.
With the two feuds already laid out, he also hinted an interest in working with Sheamus. The two have worked as a tag team before and fans are hopeful they get to see it again. With the odds against him due to the increasing amount of enemies he has garnered, the Scotsman could look to the Irishman for support. Nevertheless, now the WWE Universe can rest assured knowing that they will find the answer to their queries in the future inside a WWE ring.
